I can no longer find the confirmation of my Hotel Vrythof reservation. What should I do?
No worries! If you can no longer find your confirmation, we'll be happy to send you a new one. Email us at rieu@hotelvrythof.nl and include the date of your visit.
When can I expect my Hotel Vrythof e-tickets?
The e-tickets will be sent to your registered email address shortly before the start of the concert series.
What time does the concert start?
The concerts start at 9:00 PM on the Vrijthof. Access to the Vrijthof is via the entrances at Grote Staat, Bredestraat and Statenstraat. The gates open at 6:30 PM and dinner starts at 7:00 PM. At around 8:00 PM, the Royal Harmony Sainte Cécile Eijsden performs street performances with festive march music. The entrance at Statenstraat / Keizer Karelplein is the closest to our restaurant.
What time is the Vrijthof closed off?
The Vrijthof is fully closed off from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Between 6:30 PM and 12:30 AM, only visitors (pedestrians) with a ticket, access pass or wristband are allowed on the square.
What time does the concert end?
The concert will end around midnight.
Can I change or cancel my Hotel Vrythof reservation?
Unfortunately, our terrace packages cannot be changed or cancelled free of charge. Do you still have a change request? Feel free to contact us at rieu@hotelvrythof.nl. We're happy to look into what's possible.
Are children welcome on the terrace of Hotel Vrythof?
Children are welcome during Hotel Vrythof's terrace packages for the André Rieu concerts. The house rules and certain codes of conduct apply to all age groups. Children up to 2 years old may sit on an adult's lap free of charge. It is not possible to bring a stroller or maxi-cosi to the table. The regular rate applies to children aged 2 and older.
How do I report a serious allergy?
Do you have a serious allergy? Please let us know in advance at rieu@hotelvrythof.nl so we can do our utmost to take this into account. Despite our care, we unfortunately cannot completely rule out cross-contamination.
Are rollators, mobility scooters, wheelchairs and crutches allowed on the terrace of Hotel Vrythof?
You are very welcome to bring a rollator, mobility scooter, wheelchair or crutches. Due to the limited space on the Vrijthof, we kindly ask you to bring a compact or foldable model if possible. These will then be taken by the Hotel Vrythof hosts and placed at the side of the terrace. Tip: Tie a coloured ribbon to your mobility aid so you can easily find it again after the concert.
Where can I park my bicycle?
The bicycle parking at the Kesselskade is open until 2:30 AM during the concerts.
Where can I park my car?
We advise you to leave for Maastricht in good time and well prepared. You can find the current traffic situation and parking options for André Rieu at Maastricht bereikbaar.
Will the Vrijthof parking garage remain accessible?
Unfortunately not. Until 4:30 PM, the Vrijthof garage is accessible via Kommel, Oude Tweebergenpoort, Sint Servaasklooster and Vagevuur. You can drive away in the direction of Henric van Veldekeplein Bouillonstraat. However, we recommend avoiding the Vrijthof garage due to large crowds on the Vrijthof. After 4:30 PM, the Vrijthof can no longer be reached by car.
Where are the taxis located?
Due to crowds, we advise booking a taxi in advance. You can contact Taxi Frenske at +31 (0)43-3636362. The driver can then also indicate the best meeting point. A frequently used spot is at the Kommel, where the Kruisherenhotel is located. A taxi rank is provided on the Markt.
Can I use shuttle buses or public transport?
Before the concert, you can use both train and bus transport to and within Maastricht. For information about times and fares: www.arriva.nl or www.9292.nl. Please note that there is no public transport after the concert. No special shuttle buses are deployed.
I have difficulty walking, where can I be dropped off close to the Vrijthof?
Before the concert starts, you can be dropped off at the Keizer Karelplein. Your driver can drive away via the Kommel or past the back of St. Servaaskerk. Prior permission must be requested from the Municipality of Maastricht.
Can I use the toilet at Hotel Vrythof during the concert?
During the terrace package and concert, you can use the toilets at Hotel Vrythof. Please note that these are located on the 2nd floor and are only accessible by stairs. Wheelchair users can also use an adapted toilet in the Theater aan het Vrijthof.
Am I allowed to take photos during the concert?
You are allowed to take photos (without a professional camera) during the concert.
What is included in Hotel Vrythof's terrace package?
The Hotel Vrythof terrace package includes a culinary dinner prior to the André Rieu concert on the Vrijthof. Drinks during the evening are not included and can be ordered on site using a QR code.
Does the Hotel Vrythof terrace have a direct view of the stage?
No, the Hotel Vrythof terrace package follows the André Rieu concert via large screens and professional sound systems. This way you can comfortably enjoy the unique atmosphere, music and experience on the Vrijthof in Maastricht.
What kind of terrace setup can I expect at Hotel Vrythof?
During dinner on the Hotel Vrythof terrace, you may be seated at shared tables with other guests.
What happens in case of bad weather?
The concert will go ahead even in case of rain. During dinner, we use parasols where possible. As the weather can be unpredictable, we recommend bringing suitable clothing for changing conditions.
Are umbrellas allowed?
No, umbrellas are not allowed during the concert as they may obstruct the view of other visitors.
Can I order drinks on the Hotel Vrythof terrace during the concert?
There is no table service on the Hotel Vrythof terrace during the concert. Orders can be placed before the concert, during the interval or afterwards using a QR code.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed during the event, with the exception of certified assistance dogs.
